I will be teaching a Maculelê workshop this Saturday, February 21 at the Mission Cultural Center of Latino Arts at 25th and Mission st. The class will be from 1:15-3:00. This workshop is going to be in place of the normal Fogo Na Roupa classes so there should be a lot of dancers there with a lot of energy.
We will be breaking down the basic movements and then moving into more in depth choreography. The class will end with a Maculelê roda (and maybe even a little Sambe de Roda)!
Please bring Maculelê sticks if you have them.
I hope to see everyone there!
