Aceituno Arts Cooperative will be hosting different events every first Sunday of the month. We felt that there was no better way to start things off than having a capoeira music class and open roda. Everyone is invited and all we ask is that you bring good energy.
The event will be this Sunday from 2:00-4:00. The music class will be from 2:00-3:00 and the roda will go from 3:00-4:00. We will be charging $5 at the door and all proceeds will go to the space.
Aceituno Arts is located at 2141 Mission street (b/w 17th and 18th st.), Suite 200, San Francisco, 94110. For more information you can go to www.aceitunoarts.com.
Hope to see everyone there!
Last Saturday we had our lovely models, Angela, Fanny and Amos, help us out with our photo shoot for promotional material for the Aceituno Arts Cooperative. Well, these pictures aren’t really that capoeira related but, OMG! they turned out really great so I thought I would show them to everyone.

Finding a good space in a prime location in San Francisco can sometimes seem virtually impossible. I know this by first hand experience. Aceituno Arts Cooperative is a great opportunity for any instructor looking for a spot to teach weekely classes, rehearse or hold workshops. Aceituno Arts Cooperative is named after our dear friend and capoeria mestre, Mestre Carlos Aceituno. (See the Mestre Carlos Aceituno link to learn more about him.) Mestre Carlos was dedicated to teaching capoeira, dance and music. His was artistry was incredibly diverse and we are dedicated to continuing his legacy of promoting the arts.
Because we are new there are several ‘prime’ time slots open. We have not yet began actively marketing the space so these timeslots are soon to fill up. If you are interested in using our space please contact us at aceitunoartscooperative@gmail.com.
