Brunch and Berimbaus!

By admin, March 29, 2009 2:29 am
That’s right! We got another one coming up soon! This event is where we practice music and have a little brunch pot luck as well. Students that take this class always leave with some good songs in their repertoire and have a better understanding of how to play capoeira instruments. Here are the details:

Sunday, April 5th

10:30-12:00

Aceituno Arts Cooperative

2141 Mission St., San Francisco, CA 94112

$12

Brunch and Berimbaus will also be the Aceituno Arts chapters effort in fundraising for the encounter in August. So in the past, we let all of you who paid monthly fees to take this class for free but because we are fund raising, we are now asking that everybody pay.
We hope to see everyone there!

$5 FOR A DAY OF CLASSES AT ACEITUNO ARTS!!!

By admin, January 11, 2009 2:48 am

2009 is finally here, and to start the new year off right, the Aceituno Arts Cooperative is hosting our first ever $5 Beginner Sunday on January 11th!

What is Beginner Sunday?

The Aceituno Arts Cooperative offers a wide variety of classes in dance, martial arts, and music for all different levels of ability and experience, and on January 11th, we’ll be hosting a special event just for new students. Each of our instructors will be teaching a special class specifically geared toward first-timers; classes that are fun, challenging, and most importantly, accessible to everyone. Whether you’re looking to try something new, to improve your existing skills, or just to work off a few of those extra slices of pie you ate over the holidays, Beginner Sunday has something for everyone!

How much will Beginner Sunday cost?

For just $5, you can take as many of our classes as you like!

I’m already a student at Aceituno Arts. Should I come to Beginner Sunday?

Of course! This is your opportunity to share your favorite classes with your friends, or to try out some of the other classes offered at the AAC.

What time do classes start?

Beginning Capoeira 10:30-11:30
Capoeira Music 11:30-12:30
BioDanza 1:00-2:30
Jeet Kune Do 2:30-3:30
Pole Dancing from 4:00-5:30

Where is the Aceituno Arts Cooperative?

Our address is 2141 Mission St, suite #200, between 17th and 18th, just one block south of the 16th St. BART station.

Anything else I should know?

Just that Beginner Sunday is going to be a ton of fun, and you should bring your friends. As always, the latest updates, monthly schedules, and special events can be found on our website, http://www.aceitunoarts.com, and any questions can be sent to us atAceitunoArtsCooperative@gmail.com.

Hey, Beginner Sunday sounds great, but unfortunately this year I’ve resolved to not make new friends, to stay out of shape, to never try anything new, and to just be super lame.

Well, good luck with that. For everyone else, we’ll see you on January 11th!

August 18th, 2008.

We had our first class at Aceituno Arts Cooperative. Our new space is really great and we have an incredible group to fill it. A big thanks to everyone for being such amazing students and supporting us through our big move.
